This package has been designed primarily for use by small-to medium-sized motor
traders. Modular in design, it gives the motor trader the ability to implement
modules individually or to combine them to form a completely integrated system.
All the systems have been written to integrate with the powerful Multisoft
Accounts packages and have been designed to resemble these packages both in
screen layouts and in the use of function keys. This means that one set of
rules applies across the full administration systems and makes the interchange
of personnel easy. The suite of programs consists of sales ledger, purchase
ledger, and nominal ledger accounting programs provided by Multisoft. To these
are linked John Richard and Company's Garage Programs, comprising a vehicle
database and service history system that provides detailed information on
customers╒ vehicles, courtesy cars, new and second-hand vehicle stocks, and
full service histories. A detailed stock control system, specially produced for
garages, gives such essential information as supersessions and re-order. Inshop
invoicing system lets garages book vehicles through the workshop, downgrade
stock, augment vehicle histories, produce customer invoices and carry financial
details through to nominal ledger level. Parts Invoicing allows the downgrading
of stock and produces invoices, again for update of both sales ledger and
nominal ledger. The new- and used-car invoicing system produces invoices for
vehicle sales with appropriate output to the system ledgers.
